Your Food Service resume should have some formal training or food service coursework if you want to make food service your career, you may want to think about getting a food service certification or degree. While it is not a requirement in most restaurants for a promotion, spending the effort to get a degree or certification can add that extra oomph in your direction if listed on your Food Service resume if you’re competing with others for that open position in management.
